Class 2

Class 2 Teacher

Mrs Robinson is the teacher in Class 2. She has a love for David Walliams stories and enjoys reading these to her class.

School P.E. days

Our P.E. days for autumn term 2 are Wednesday (outdoor P.E.) and Thursday (Indoor P.E.). Please come to school wearing your P.E. kit. Our P.E. kit is black or grey bottoms with no big logos, yellow t-shirt, black or grey jumper with no big logos and trainers.

Welcome to Class 2

As we move into our second term our focus in R.E. moves to incarnation. We move away from phonics lessons and begin our spelling curriculum which builds on previous learning and ties in with our class reading. In science we begin looking at animals and their habitats, we finish our history unit part way through the term and begin looking at our wonderful world in Geography.

This term is packed full of learning, visitors, walks in the local area and lots of preparation for our nativity performance.

Here's to a year filled with love, respect, and joyful moments.

Homework

Each week homework will be shared on Class Dojo.

Reading

We ask that children read at least 4 times a week for about 15 minutes each time. Reading regularly helps children with spelling, imagination and understanding. When your child reads please record this in their reading record.

Spellings

Each week spellings will be sent home for the week. These will be based on our phonics from the week.

Numbots

Numbots logins will be in the children's reading records. Regular practice will help with addition and subtraction. We recommend 25 minutes a week split into several short sessions.

Optional Maths

Children can take home maths practice sheets if they would like extra work linked to what we have been learning in class.
