General Communication and Information
- Two way communication between home and school is essential.
- St Anne’s subscribes to the Parent Mail system which is used to send a variety of letters and communications home via email. Paper copies are sent home to those unable to access email.
- Every week, parents receive the Headteacher’s newsletter, which gives up to date information on school events – copies of recent newsletters are accessible from this page. One week will be Diary Dates, the other week will be news of what's happening in the classroom.
- Information evenings for parents on a variety of topics are held from time to time, notably ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening held in the first fortnight of each academic year, where parents meet their child’s new class teacher to share expectations and details of the forthcoming activities and learning.
- Parent / teacher consultations to discuss children’s progress take place twice a year.
- Parents are encouraged to communicate with their child’s class teacher and vice versa, in the Home School Book (FS), Reading Record (KS1) or Homework Planner (KS2).
- Parents will receive a full school report at the end of the Summer Term, which is followed by an open afternoon with opportunities for discussion, if required.
- The Headteacher and all teachers are always willing to discuss concerns or children’s progress at a mutually convenient time.
