Our Ethos
As a Church of England school, St Anne's is committed to an ethos in which Christian values are lived into being. Our aim is for each member of the school community to be known as an individual and cared for as an individual. We are a happy, caring school and we seek to enable every child to achieve as highly as possible in a great variety of ways. Our continuing commitment to further developing our vision and values, our pastoral care and the achievement of our pupils lies at the heart of our status as a Voluntary Aided school.
All the staff are passionate about delivering an excellent education that develops all aspects of each child, the spiritual, the emotional, the physical and social as well as of course the academic. We believe that all children of all abilities have the right to an excellent education and to reach their full potential. Thus we endeavour to ensure that every child achieves their best. We aim to provide the best possible education and opportunities and to be at the forefront of educational development. We seek to offer an environment which is hard-working, secure and caring, and in which pupils take pride in their achievements. We believe in a creative curriculum which develops the academic potential of each pupil to the full, and is at the same time broad enough to meet and respond to individual need. We seek to encourage in our pupils, social responsibility and care for others. We also expect pupils to work hard, aim high and achieve their very best. Those choosing to come to St Anne’s are expected to be in full support of these aims, values and standards.
