Fathers Day lunch

Today we welcomed dad's, grandad's and uncles, into school to join the children for lunch. Some chose to have a fish and chip supper while others took advantage of the lovely weather and had a picnic on a school field. It was lovely to see over 50 dad's come to the event and the children were so proud as they showed them around the school and introduced them to their friends and staff.

In the afternoon dads were invited to stay on and join the children in reading. Every class at St Anne's has designated time set aside each day for all children to take part in quiet reading. It was wonderful to see children sharing their books with dads and showing them how they use the Accelerated Reading scheme in school.
