Welcome to a place in which everyone is constantly striving to make a difference, achieve our very best and nurture a true sense of well-being. Welcome to a place that will form a partnership with you and treat your child as the precious, unique individual that they are. Welcome to a school which cherishes its Christian distinctiveness.

With our guiding motto 'An Outstanding Journey of Discovery for Every Child' we will nurture your child from pre-schooler to a young person ready to embark on their next level of education. Through our commitment to our Aims and Values and our ‘St Anne’s Spirit’ Positive Behaviour Policy we will equip them with the ability to love, share, learn and care. We are often told that secondary school teachers can 'spot a St Anne's pupil' because of his or her behaviour, attitude and confidence in class.

High expectations, high quality teaching and strong leadership are providing the right outcomes for our children. Our curriculum responds to the children’s interests and needs through an enquiry-led approach which develops skills and thinking in preparation for the next step, the future and whatever it holds.

As a Church of England primary school, everything we say and do is done ‘within the love of God’. Our Christian distinctiveness is apparent in the way that ‘all adults use dedicated and unstinting efforts to nurture the children in faith and to pass on values which will strengthen and guide them in future years’. All faiths are welcomed equally and children and families are not expected to have a faith commitment, but Christian values and references do guide all that goes on at St Anne’s.

St Anne's is a single form entry school, which means that there is one class per year group. Year 5 is a one-off exception to this, with two small classes created to solve a problem with previous catchment areas. The maximum class size is currently 31. Within these intimate surroundings each child is given the space and attention to flourish. Learning takes place indoors and out, is led by the children's inquisitiveness and challenges everyone to 'achieve outstanding success'.

In March 2014, Ofsted rated St Anne's as a Good school, stating that 'pupils achieve well, especially in mathematics, and attainment is rising across the school. Teachers and teaching assistants have good relationships with their pupils. They explain what pupils are to learn clearly and make sure that learning is purposeful. Pupils are considerate, behave well and feel safe at school. They enjoy taking part in all activities and appreciate the positive values expressed in ‘The Saint Anne’s Spirit’ code for behaviour.' Our last SIAS (Church Schools) inspection took place in June 2012 and St Anne's was judged to be an Outstanding school.
